does shipping really cost this much? im not trying to be mean but im trying to understand how the shipping works b/c the shipping cost more than the shirt does, do the weigh the box as well as the item in it?

They weigh the whole package, not just the item, so this includes what ever you decide to ship the item in. I'll ship this in the poly bubble bag and as I stated above in the listing; what I am entitled to charge for. Here is the breakdown for the people who just cant bring themselves to understand:
Flat rate shipping to the entire USA: 2.00
Handling:.95
delivery confirmation: .80
cost of packaging: 1.20
total: 4.95
also, they have 4.95 flat rate packaging at the post office as well. either way, flat rate still comes out to 4.95.

if anyone feels they can get this shirt for cheaper by going to the store, be my guest! that would be great, then you wouldnt have to spend the 1 credit on listia and you could pick it out yourself and pay for it at the counter.

for anyone who does not have transportation, [like alot of the people who usally bid on this type of item] this is a great way to get the item shipped to you directly to your door.
