No, these are not replicas. Hell Banks are not used as real currency in the real world. The Chinese and other Asian countries burn these during ceremonies and the belief is that burning the hell banks will provide our ancestors with money in the underworld. In other words, these are supposed to be money for the dead. I guess that is kind of a scary thought haha. I hope this clarifies what hell bank notes are used for. :)
