Description

The listing, Ornamental Peppers 10+ seeds has ended.

This auction is for 10+ seeds that were grown in my container garden in 2013. Thai peppers are a very colorful plant to put in among your foliage plants, in the ground or in pots. They are relatively easy to grow and very prolific. The fruits are edible and very hot, commonly used in spicy, oriental cuisine. I like them simply because they dress up my front porch with their bright crimson fruits. As with all my Listia auctions, the winning bidder needs to contact me with verified shipping information within 7 days or according to Listia guidelines, this item will be re-listed. In that event, no refund of credits will be given. I will ship within 1-2 business days after I receive your info. Thanks for bidding!

I just brought mine in for the winter. They like my kitchen window because it faces west. The sun is too strong without sheers for most of the summer, but in the winter, it works out great. This will be the third winter for this one pot. I'll be starting some new ones come spring. They are great if used sparingly in cooking too! I dry them when they turn red, grind them and add to paprika and a few other dried spices to make my own delicious chili powder. They are quite hot, so a little goes a long way, depending how hot you like your food. LOL!

I don't eat spicy foods, but I will cook it for others. You had me when you said you grew them in a container garden. This is something I want to grow along with my growing pepper collection. Thank you so much for offering dear, & may God Bless !

You are most welcome. I think these are the easiest peppers I've ever grown in a pot. They germinate quickly, and are very compact (unless you take a notion to plant them in the ground. Then, they can get 2-3 feet high. I like a compact container size simply because they are easier to care for and harvest. The actual peepers are small, but they have a great flavor as well as the heat. When I make sweet pickles, I like to add 1 or 2 of them to a jar. The result is fabulous! Sweet heat picles have become a favorite around here ... LOL!
