This auction is for 5 very special and rare seeds!

GIN bonus is 20 seeds and an assortment of others. Black Hollyhock, Stella Dioro, Summer Squash, Giant Russian Mammoth Sunflower seeds, burning bush, white rose of sharon and giant pumpkin. I will also gift box upon request. This is the best auction on Listia. I think lol

As a result of intense agriculture, the natural habitat of Ensete lasiocarpa has become highly fragmented. In fact, truly wild populations are unknown, which is why the species may have to be classified as 'Extinct in the Wild'. The remaining populations are considered to be 'semi-wild' ones. These populations are maintained only through cultivation, thanks to the cultural and economic significance of this species to local people.

With its inflorescence resembling a lotus flower in bud and lasting up to 250 days, the golden lotus banana has become a sacred plant of Buddhist monks in the tropical region of Yunnan.

Help me repopulate these. They are worshipped by the monks for a reason :) They are amazing. They have 100 uses and are beautiful. I believe the most amazing plant in the world.

These seeds can take up to 6 months to sprout. Yes 6 months. I have never ever heard of it taking that long, but that is what I have heard from several people.

These are cold hardy to zone 5. They make great house plants also. They need lots of sun and water. If you live someplace where their is a winter they will die down and then come back in the spring. If it is always warm, well then they just keep growing. They can reach 5 feet tall :)

I highly suggest soaking the seeds for 48 hours then scuffing with sandpaper or a file before planting. NEVER scuff the eye of the seed however. You will know what I mean by eye when you see them.
They will do great planted outside for the winter. Plant them now outside and you will have sprouts next spring. OR plant them indoors now and in a few months they will sprout.
