For your consideration is this very old unopened package of sewing threads estate find some years ago. Most all colors you may need are present, but it reads anklet shades. Lol. These are very collectible sewing goods.

What does anklet shades mean? How old do you think that it is?

Anklets were what we call socks, that fold over at your ankles. This was back when people mended holes in the is socks and not just throw them out and buy more. Lol. I'd say this goes back to the 40s or 50s, but that's a guess based on the price mainly. It could be earlier.
