One of the most beautiful flowers.

Irises are perennial herbs, growing from creeping rhizomes (rhizomatous irises). They have long, erect flowering stems, which will be simple, and flattened. The rhizomatous species usually have 3–10 basal, sword-shaped leaves growing in dense clumps.

While the Iris does produce seed, It can take years to flower when grown from seed.

About 5 rhizomes.

These are tall not dwarf, with smaller flowers compared to the larger bearded Iris. the leaves are relitively thin and slightly grasslike
