This plant has a lot of names! I sometimes think it's in the Plant Witness Protection Program, from of all its aliases! The botanical name for it is Kalanchoe delagoensis. It's also known as Mother Of Thousands, Alligator plant, Pregnant plant, Frog plant, or Chandelier plant. The first time I found it growing in my yard 10+ years ago, I saw the pretty but weird red flowers growing from it like teardrops in a downward pattern, rather than up to the sun, and the lovely, plump chevron patterned leaves. We called it the Outer Space plant because it grew so quickly, and seemed to just pop up overnight. So, be warned that this propagates quickly! It's a Tropical Perennial. If left on its own outside in a sub-tropical/tropical climate, it will grow from 2' - 4' high! Indoors in containers it also does very well. If you're in a cold climate, it will have to be moved indoors when temps drop, because it WILL NOT survive a frost. All parts of the plant are poisonous if ingested. It is drought-tolerant. It is a truly maintenance-free plant! If you don't have a green thumb, it's the plant for you! Plantlets will be picked fresh before shipping. You'll get 40+ plantlets - the little babies on the end of leaves, plus instructions.

These are very cool plants. I'm going to be putting up another auction of these, running at the same time, which I never do. I've decided to do an auction for a full stalk of leaves, including the healthy babies on them, so no waiting for growing is necessary. The GIN will be quite a bit higher, but it will be very worth it! ✰

Fanned. I have many! They drop seeds and spread and can get tall. Great for a place where not much grows. I live in Florida and it stays out all winter.

They are fun plants, aren't they? Before my first one, which I got by wind or bird pollination, because I sure didn't plant it, I'd never seen one before. I love when it flowers - it is so gorgeous! What part of FL are you? Thanks for stopping by! ✰

They are really.pretty. I have alot of em. Like the seeds on the leaves, wherever they drop they will start growing. Theu are pretty awesome plants. We call em a thousand babies.

Excellent auction!! These are so cool & even the blackest thumb can have a robust garden of these. I live in north wisconsin & mine stay indoors all year but i give the babies as gfts and keep them in west window during winter only as our high sun will burn them even indoors durong summer. Your fan & hoping your bids go high as these are so decorative & hearty :))
