Description

The listing, 1944 Free Mason Masonic Libbey Cordial Glass has ended.

This is a Free Mason masonic. cordial Glass. In Excellent condition. I picked this up at an estate sale and don't come across many of these. This was the first one I have found. On the bottom it has the number 44 and the signature L for Libbey glass co.i am assuming the number 44 on the bottom stands for 1944. Or it could mean the lodge number. (Please see comments below) I tried to get a picture of the 44 and makers mark, but it doesn't come out that good.

That is wonderful! Here is what I found.
"Alamo Lodge No. 44 is the first and oldest Masonic Lodge in the City of San Antonio (Bexar County) and has a rich and unique history due to having been founded in the the historic Alamo, the Shrine of Texas Liberty. The lodge was granted a charter from the Grand Lodge of Texas on January 15, 1848.

Our heritage and ties to the Alamo distinguish us as one of the preeminent Lodges in Freemasonry. "

Thank you it is. I just realized I have to take better pictures. This is in perfect condition but I think the flash made it look weird.

If it is the Masonic Lodge # it's from/in Texas. Its a very old Lodge. So it could be the reason for the 44 stamp..

Greetings to all the mason's watching. I went to to another estate sale and found another mason glass, but this one says Meridian Lodge AM & FM. on it and in excellent condition. I also found a mason coffee mug not new and in good used vintage condition. If you are the winner you will also get one of these items, just pick which one you want. I will be updating again soon with pictures of both items.
