My son is 15 years old and hasn't played with these in years, but my stuff comes from a clean home cuz I am picky and never would i send dirty toys. i use to do day care and we always ran toys that could be ran through the dish washer with a small amount of bleach.and these were done and air dried and already for there new home. Thanks for asking.

They are called Bristle Blocks. Made by Battat, Playskool or any number of companies depending on the year of manufacturing
