Locally, recently and skillfully harvested, these seeds will unquestionably burst into a profusion of flowers year after year if you let them! An easy way to add color to your yard- they like poor soil with low moisture and no fertilizer. Excellent companion for most plants, it is among the best at attracting predatory insects. :) Happy bidding!

I'm going out of town, so this is a short 3day auction, the winner will have their seeds promptly!!

I tried marigolds and borage this year, too. THey look good, but I haven't seen much results on reduced pests. It's been so dry here (NW Arkansas) that the beetles and grasshoppers are eating as much as I do!

I read planting sunflowers might help your situation - they attract birds - and provide a perch for birds to swoop down from and gobble up beetles and grasshoppers!

Nasturtiums are just about the only thing I leave to grow in my garden that I didn't seed. They help keep bugs off the veggies and herbs I intentionally planted! :)

I'll give it a shot. I have sunflower seeds here and our winter doesn't really start until November. Plenty of time to grow...
