Description

The listing, CHINESE-FORGET-ME-NOTS, 30+ SEEDS, INDOOR / OUTDOOR has ended.

Forget-me-nots are easy to care for. With their charming blue blooms and delicate leaves, forget-me-nots have enhanced the homes and gardens of many. The plant is easy to grow. Forget-me-nots are versatile and enjoy staying both indoors and out. They are often found below trees, in rock gardens and throughout flower beds, as well as in flower pots inside the home. I planted some of these to grow and bring inside on 7/16. Hoping for something blooming and pretty on cold dreary days of winter !
Things You'll Need
Foam cup
Well-draining potting soil
8-oz. container

1
Fill a foam cup that has a pencil-sized hole in the bottom with well-draining potting soil about 4 weeks before your region's last frost. Stop when you are a half inch from the top.

2
Place a forget-me-not seed on top of the soil. Cover it with 1/8 inch of dirt. Gently pour water over top of the soil until it drains out of the hole at the bottom.

3
Place the cup in a spot that gets indirect light, such as a windowsill. Water the container or spray it with a water bottle when the soil is dry .

4
Transplant the seedling into a larger container when it has grown one or two sets of true leaves -- the leaves that sprout after the first set occur. Pour the potting soil in an 8-oz. container that has drainage holes in the bottom. Dig a small hole in the soil that is large enough to hold the seedling's roots. Use a spoon carefully to remove the seedling from its cup by digging underneath it, below where you anticipate the roots to be. Place the seedling in the new container and cover its roots with soil.

5
Set the container in a window that receives light. Forget-me-nots do well in both the shade and the sun, so they aren't too picky when it comes to light requirements. Water the plant when the soil starts to get dry; they grow best in moist conditIons.
