The listing, HEAVENLY SCENTED ~ UNIQUE NAUTICAL SPIRALS ~ "RARE CORKSCREW VINE" ~ 5 SEEDS! has ended.

Elegant, Spiraled and Highly Scented "Corkscrew Vine!"
COCHLIASANTHUS (VIGNA) CARACALLA VINE

LAST OFFERING UNTIL THE HOLIDAYS!

"The most beautiful bean in the world."...Thomas Jefferson

Let this swirling beauty fill your garden in dreamy scents of hyacinth and jasmine, while entreating your eyes to one of nature's more fascinating blooms.

Join Jefferson and add this mysterious vine with its nautical shell or snail-like blooms to your historical garden. Or give as a special gift for the coming holidays!

Super easy to grow: plant seed and then, sit back, relax, and wait for summer to entice Corkscrews cascading clusters of creamy shades of white, lavender and yellow ocher spirals to appear. During the first season!

HEIGHT: South 15-20'. North 6-8'.
ZONES: 9-11 Perennial. Direct sow or start early indoors.
ALL OTHER ZONES: Pot plant with something to grow on and take inside or overwinter in the greenhouse. It will continue to grow by a warm bright window. This tropical plant will not suffer the cold. Mid-Spring: Place overwintered plant outdoors in cool shaded area to allow ants to pollinate.
BLOOMS: First season. Late summer-early fall. Ant pollination will produce long seed pods which should be removed while still green and before a chill sets in.
SUN: FULL SUN-PART SHADE. Corkscrew is fast growing and adores the sun.
WATER: Moderate (keep watered). Fertilizer every 2 weeks during growing season.
Easy to germinate, soak seed 12 hrs. Can propagate from cuttings.

*Wiki: Corkscrew vine, also known as the scented "Snail Vine," has been reclassified from the Vigna family to Cochliasanthus caracalla, as the only member of this genus.

ty, I agree! As for color; they're an ever changing blend of rich creamy colors, including white, lavender, yellow ocher and even some darker shades of burgundy.

lol...okeedokie Ms. Laurie...due diligence is always an excellent idea (+_+) And I truly mean that...I do it everyday when it comes to seeds.
ps...if you do find some, please make sure your seller is reputable and ask them to see a pic of the 'seed' and if they do show you one (which is doubtful) they should be large, somewhat square and look like the ones above in my pic's-if not, they're not Corkscrew, which is a major problem with these rare ones and scams. Also..though they're equally rare, some folks online (accidental or on purpose) pass off the unscented and solid colored "Purple Snail Vine" as Corkscrew, which are a small pointed seed. I also have purple snail seeds and can supply you with a pic if you like. Always Happy To Help A Gardening Friend◠◡✿

You're very welcome. ps...did I mention they look like a fussy plant but are in fact very easy to germinate & grow: just place in a jar of HOT HOT water for 24 hours, then fold into a damp paper towel and place in a baggy or clear plastic deli container. Once sprouted, place in good soil by a warm southern window. In Spring, take outside on a covered porch or deck so ant's can pollinate for the spirals to grow. Collect the green bean for more seeds. ◠◡✿
