I remember you from Nowhere Wisconsin. I think you are proud of your father's service to this country and their are stories of many hero's that are never told. It is possible that Hitlers army could have invaded the United States. Little known by many Americans is that there were German U-boats off the east coast of the U.S. They sunk many civilian vessels right off the coast of North Carolina. These ships were carrying tons of supplies to our allies. After Pearl Harbor. most of our Navy ships were sent to the Pacific to protect the west coast,.We finally put sailors and armor on these civilian ships and began sinking the German U-boats. It is no doubt that Hitler was a mad man and thought he could defeat our country. Thanks again for reminding us of the sacrifices our men and women have made and to those who continue to do the same.... :)
