Hello and thank you for your question. They like the outside as they go dormant and come back each year. You can start them in your home and transplant them outside in the beginning of spring. Mine are planted in my back yard along my porch as they don't tolerate a lot of sun. They like areas that are about around 50 percent shade. They are very hardy as a lot of people here in PA have them planted along Their driveways on hills and along their houses. They shoot up a stalk from the middle of the plant which produces many white flowers going down each stalk. Mine produced about five stalks per plant this year! these plants are so pretty ; i was wondering if you could tell me if they grow better indoors or outdoors and if they are heat tolerant or if they need alot of shade if they are outside and when would be the best time to plant these and can they be planted inside then transplanted outside, thanks for your help , f # W
