Your very nice and lucky to have been raised in Hawaii, I'm trying to teach my granddaughters both back ground's and Traditional aspects and I'm wanting this ring along with the history behind both the Hawaiian and Native American Indians.

Thank you, I always try and get them things that pertaining to our history and the turtle, on the Native American Indians side represents Turtle Island. This island is what you know as The United States of America and you know the Hawaiian side.
The Hawaiian side the turtle represents, longevity, wisdomi, endurance and so on, the slanders and their deep spiritual connection to the Sea, Mother Nature, and the Turtle.
In some Native Americantales, the Turtle is the deity of the world's shores. Tradition has it that the animal brought mud from the bottom of the vast global ocean and used it to form th continents. This association with Mother Earth and the Ocean, may account for why turtles represent the feminine cycle and the motions the Moon
