These are not easy to grow from seed. Novices, beware. It takes 3 years to get asapragus from seed. What is sold in the store is generally 2-year old roots. And, when you plant them, you can't even harvest them that year.The good new is that asparagus is perennial. Once it's growing you can harvest it for about 15 years if you just give it a little attention... water and pull a few weeds. You don't even cut back the fronds at the end of the season, but let them dry and fall back into the mulch/dirt to fortify the soil.
Look these up before you bid. You need patience and a green thumb to grow these.
