The listing, 1920's Mexican Lantern - Great Folk Art! has ended.

This is a handpainted ceramic lantern bought from a local auction where it was said to have come from Mexico in the 1920's. It is a beautiful piece and has even been wired for electricity. Originally, a candle would be placed in it for light and that can still be done if you want it to be used for its original purpose.

A great decorative piece and must have collectible!

A quick ebay search of these types of things go for around $1000! Who knows, this thing could be very valuable!

Sorry for the high shipping cost, but with something this valuable it has to be carefully packaged and shipped well.

No there are no markings on the lantern, but auctions usually have reliable sources for describing what things are.
