The sweater is 12 inches long so in order to determine if it will fit your dog, measure her from the base of her neck to the start of her tail and you will know if it is right for her.

I'l not totally sure what you are looking to discover, but when I lay the sweater flat, it is 8.5 inches across which would make is 17 inches around. Bear in mind that this is an un-stretched measurement and the sweater does have a considerable amount of stretch in it. My MinPin is about 7.5 pounds and it is too big for her. Hope this helps.
