Description

The listing, 'Alabaster' Art Container-Handcrafted, Perfect for Bath has ended.

I am starting to list various pieces of my polymer clay works and I'm starting with this very pretty 'mock Alabaster' jar.

While this jar could hold an assortment of items on a bathroom counter or vanity such as hair clips, cotton balls, etc., my favorite use is storing my favorite "foaming milk bath," soothing mineral soak," and "dry bubble bath" by lovecross.

The beauty also lies in the strength and durability of these jars. While their interior is glass, the clay provides a buffer from breakage. So, while these look breakable from the outside, they're actually formed from the 'plastic' base in polymer clay....but it feels like stone.

This is the first of a series I am creating from the particular set of these jars; no two will ever be alike.

In addition, their 'signature' is a cameo-type of piece on the lids of each jar. They are angel-like and a glittering process has been used that you can't really appreciate the depth of in the closeup photo.

So, if you want to create an amazing gift for someone who loves things that look and smell pretty, this is a great way to surprise her with something one-of-a-kind!

Thank you! I have a limited number of these jars that can sit straight up or on their side. They were miniature 'jelly belly' cookie-jar like containers my husband got from a customer at Christmas. After devouring the jelly bellies, I thought to keep the little glasses because they're so unique as "mini cookie jars" we all see that can sit on one side.

THEN I got addicted to lovecross's dry bubble bath she sends out in plastic packets and thought, "NOW I really know what belongs in these jars." Pretty outside, like a pretty stone with pretty inside for a bath. I also now know what I get to do with a whole boxful of plastic cigar holders with caps. They would hold the bath goodies and I'm creating JEWELED with clay designs on those. They're coming soon.

So, yeah, these jars are a limited edition because, for the life of me, I can't find where to buy them. I have about six more that are going to be 'alabastered' and posted on Listia; each with their own colors and 'insignia cameo' on their lids.

Thank you very much for your comment/compliment!

Uh, oh. I only have two more of these little jars and I can't find more to save my life. So there will be a set of three. With this first one, I would suggest any of lovecross flower or tropical blends. I'll get with her on the other two so I know how they'll be designed on my end. They'd be really cool lined up sideways in a bath or on a vanity and, you have to admit, there's a LOT to be said about pouring something very special from a very special jar....

Okay, my lead from lovecross (Wendy) is that the next two are: "baked goodies" and "delicious fruits." So, the next two jars will go with this one but with themes of sugar, spice, and deliciously nice.

Hi, I haven't had an alertpay account in a long time. I'm not sure how long it would take becoming verified again with a new account. So, under the circumstances, I would prefer hidden cash or 6 stamps in lieu of paypal.
