Hello fellow listians! This week I am going to be putting up some silver coins, starting with this one! This is a one peso coin dated 1940. These are 72% silver!! With the price of silver going up, the amount of silver coins in circulation is going down. This belonged to my husband, but I have no need for them and would rather see them in the hands of a collector. This coin is in fantastic condtion with the main wear on the chest of the bird. Everything else is sharp and nice. It is a bit dirty, but I do not clean my coins as I know there are certain ways to do so and the collectors like them as is. Please blow the pictures up so you can see detail! Had Independencia y libertad around the outside edge. A few minor dings around the edge from being jostled around with other coins. Coin is about 1 1/4 inch and weighs .58 oz. on my little scales. They may not be perfectly accurate, but are very close. I am also going to add a buy it now price that is close to what I see silver coins ending at on here, so if a collector sees it and does not want to wait, they don't have to!
