The listing, Antique Glass Doorknob has ended.
This antique glass door knob is for an interior door - no lock. Maybe it was grandma's closet door, I don't know. It will cost me $9.37 to mail, if it costs less to your house I'll adjust the amount I ask for shipping. It weighs nearly 13 oz + the box and packing material. So it weighs over 1 pound. No, it won't fit in a small flat rate box or envelope, sorry.
You can calculate the shipping for yourself if you want; use the zip code in my location.
Did you try padded flat rate envelope? It ships for $4.95 I have used these for door knobs in the past and no damage. Wrap with newspaper to add alittle more protection.
Thanks I know he size box your talking about I was just trying to help. You have to have your box all packed before you weigh it and it does matter on the zip. I always go to the post office to mail y give you the best price and tips for the next time I think the door knob is beautiful and worth the shipping and I am thinking about it Did not mean to offend you. Thanks Nancy
That's the trouble with on-line stuff; just stating the facts sometimes comes across harsh and I'm a blunt person anyway. Oh, dear...(must work on my people skills)!!! I always appreciate it when people take time to comment and offer suggestions. Suggestions always welcome!!! Thanks Nancy and welcome back. Many smiles : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : )
Oh, I didn't think of that for this auction; I like it~ Are you interested in a GIN number? I can add a GIN of 5,000 and ship for free. Great idea, thank you! And thanks for visiting my auction!
If it under 2 pounds you can still ship priority starting from $5 up. The box will still be small enough go to USPS to get an average price on mailing. Parcel post you always pay more Thanks Nancy
Thanks Nancy, it won't fit in a small flat rate box, it will have to go into a box about 6" square so that I can pack it securely without breakage! If interested you can check the postage at USPS! Use zip code 94010! WEight 1 lb, 4 oz
I have one more of these, it's one with a keyhole. Got these thinking I'd use them to auction and to use one in a sculpture. (Neither one has paid off, LOL). They are old but I don't know how old they are.
Siily me, I can't add a GIN since there are bids. OK, if the bidding reaches 5,000 I'll ship for free (and I'll try to remember to add a GIN next time)!
Those little plus things are fun, not sure what they do but it's interactive! Thanks for doing it, it must do something, I always do the same thing when I'm commenting on auctions!
Hi Candy, I can try the flat rate padded envelope that one person suggested and said was $5.00, otherwise Priority mail is $8.36, thanks for asking and for your interest in my auction. Wish the shipping was less, but this is a heavy item. That's one of those mixed blessings, huh?
I've ordered some of those padded flat rate envelopes, I don't know how long it will taken them to arrive. My post office doesn't carry them, a lot of post office supplies are not available at my post office...they are free and I order them on line. They are 9 1/2" by 12" so...maybe that will work but like I said, I don't know how long it will take for them to arrive! :)
