i have this exact same camera and you are correct that it takes double A batteries and not a rechargeable battery!

And yeah it does take SD cards and also takes memory sticks!

okay question...i see above that it takes a memory card..then below it says a memory stick pro duo..can you confirm one or the other pleassee. i have tons of sd cards and flash cards but memory sticks i do not have..so if you could give me more info i would appriciate it:) thanks

i have this same one it takes two double A batt and the the memory card you have to put in next to the batteries and it takes a memory stick pro duo like the ones you can use in a psp handheld game system and i think the model number is dsc-s650 you can also see it in the second pic at the top of the screen on the cam. i have also lost my usb cord and all i did is bought a card reader for my computer and it works great
