Did you know that copper/aluminium/brass and gold also will not stick to a magnet it is still a good idea to get your items tested most coin, jewelry, and pawn shops will test for free most gold and silver items will be stamped 925 or sterling or 10k,14k,24k ect.. unless it is realy old some antique jewlery has no stamp but all newer stuff Will be stamped,if it is plated it will have the letter p at the end on earings the stamp is usually on the post and really small hard to see on rings it will be inside the band and on necklaces and bracelets it is usually on the clasp or a little metal tag beware the ones with the little tags lots of fakes there are alot of fakes of gold and silver itmes and alot of people dont even know it because they have never had it tested so unless you buy from a licenced jewler you should have them tested I bought three different Pandora style bracelets from three different people all of them stamped 925 and did not stick to a magnet but when I had them tested they were all fake and that happens a lot on the net and the people who sold them to me did not even know they were fake because they never had them tested they did the same thing you did tested them with a magnet the acid test that jewlers use is the only sure fire way to know for sure im telling you this because I have sold items in the past as real silver that turned out to be fake and I had to refund those people and it gave me a tarnished record and I dont want that to happen to any one else thanks for reading this and have a great experience with this and all other bidding sites
