The battery also has a pull ribbon now to remove usage so you'd have to remove it to get the timer functional. This is a countdown timer ( like for crafts & kitchen use ) with full instructions and certification sheet. It also has the functions of Countdown timer, memory recall, clear out & time out, plus a stopwatch (count up) timing. Last calibrated in 2011. Incredibly accurate and digits are 1-1/2 inches tall. Start/Stop button displays minutes & seconds. Loud beep sound when completed. Satin metal finish comes boxed and wrapped in bubbles.
