Gd morning and get ready for 'stupid' questions,,lol. Was wondering, I don't make jewelry but do have a couple pair of earrings that I love, the hook part is not s/p or silver but , is it easy to replace wire or does one need jewelry tools to work with? Thx.

It is very easy to just exchange wires. In a pinch you can even do it with your bare hands, but it is easiest with the proper pliers. If you just have one pair that you are repairing, standard pliers or even tweezers will get you by, but if you were looking to make jewelry to give as gifts or sell, I'd recommend at least picking up a pair of round nose jewelry pliers.
