i have 9 wheat pennys, and for some eason one is steel colored, ok dates r as follows... silver one is1943, 1921 1944, 1944, 1944, 1952, 1955, 1957, and 1958. thankx for looking!!!

The 1943 pennies were made out of zinc coated steel because copper was needed for the war effort, very common.. Some were made by mistake out of copper and are worth a fortune. Beware of counterfiet copper ones. To tell if it is genuine copper, use a magnet. If it sticks to the magnet, it is a fake.
