HI I have a very highly collected piece to offer this is a Little Red Riding hood pie vent that was used in the mid 40"s this was used by women so that their pie would not crack this piece is made by Hull and the company has a very long story behind it. The piece is in excellent condition only having a very small bit of paint missing the photo shows up having a lot more paint missing and when displayed this does not show She has no chips or cracks..This is one of their most famous pieces you can check this piece out by going to Ebay and then pottery and click on Hull search little red riding hood I could sell this there for a good bit of money but thought I would offer it to Lista users. I have the cookie jars which sell for hundreds but I intend to keep those. I am offering a fork and spoon of her so take a look at that if this is of interest to you. Shipping will be by zip code I have lost a lot of money giving quotes and so I will no longer give a shipping price until you contact me for a price.PLEASE DO some research on this piece and feel free to ask questions This will be a 9 day listing in stead of 7 so save those points I will listing a beautiful set of wedding rings (diamonds) as soon as I get all the required info so watch for that coming up!!!!

I see these for .99 cents - $16.95 on ebay when I search for Pie Vents. NO pie vents when I search HULL and Little REd Riding Hood-- just cookie jars, creamers, salt and pepper sets. Just thought I'd share my findings.

ha ha XD this would have came in handy for when i used to bake cherry pies for the vampire across town. he graduated last year so i dont see him any more, any ways my old one broke this reminded me to go out and get a new one, thanks!

Nancy's your link (or path) did not lead to any results; however, I am a maker and seller of piebirds and if this a Hull it is worth more to a collector. If indeed one sold for 99 cents on ebay, that only indicates the bidder got a great deal. Also, there are reproductions of this item on the market. Many times sellers will list low, hoping to get more (just like here on Listia), but the timing of having the right buyer find it during an auction is a gamble for the seller. That does not mean it isn't worth more..
