as far as I Know It is LAYERED in 24kt gold leaf (NOT SOLID). I don't know too much about it as it was gifted to me with the purchase of a coin from EBAY. I posted what the seller on EBAY had posted So I'm taking their word it is, but won't guarantee! Thanks For asking though!

As far as I know, It is 24kt. Layered. But NOT 100% sure, as I purchased a coin on ebay and this was shipped to me as a gift with it. The listing it was on said it was.
