The listing, Antique Washington DC Capitol Eagle Shield Metal Badge has ended.

This is a very old. (1912 or 1917) old metal badge with the US Capitol and an eagle shield. The badge was made in Japan for W. B. Garrison. Copyright date of 1912 or 1917 (hard to read) is also engraved on the back. Unsure of TYPE OF metal but there is some corrosion. Really unique find!!!!!!

Condition: not in the best.of.condition due to age. Still believed to be a very rare item with tons of character. Measures approximately 3" tall and 3" wide.

I am a former officer this is more like near unique find,officers used to retire with their shields....big on washington,d.c. flatfoots or beatcops

it is a great part of history to have. looking back at the 911 attack and the years since. who ever gets this really needs to keep it safe. I hope it goes to a great home.
