Description

The listing, iPhone 4S AT&T 16 GB has ended.

16GB iPhone 4S through AT&T. I purchased this phone brand-new and it will be shipped in original packaging with charger. this phone is with AT&T and has never been jailbroken. The screen is broken but I purchased a new screan to replace it but don't know how to replace it myself. if you bid on this phone you should be confident about being able to change the screen yourself. It works perfectly even with a broken screen. It has been reset back to factory defaults.
I will ship to verified list yet addresses only please. Thank you

Sigh. Once again if you read the description it is exactly the same way as I purchased it. It is still an AT&T phone. It is never been jailbroken it has never been unlocked. as far as I know jailbroken is exactly the same as unlocked.

Well I went to iCloud and my device was still under so I log back into that device signed out of iCloud deleted it from the phone and restored the phone again.
Thanks so much for bringing that to my attention.

I hate to add more confusion but the owner has to contact AT&T to unlock it from their account not just clear the iCloud but for someone else to be able to open their own account with AT&T or some other carrier that uses the same type of phone such as Consumer Cellular. All you have to do is have your account number and call AT&T and ask to unlock your 4s iPhone. I hope this helped a little bit.. What you did was clear your ESN when you reset it.

I'm interested in this phone for my husband are you including the new screen so I could have it fixed?
Nov 30th, 2014 at 10:36:32 AM PST by
Original
Yes. The phone works fine with the cracked screen but the new screen will be included. I just wasn't confident enough to take it apart and replace it.

I just took one to the shop to get fixed( a 4S ) that front glad is actually pretty useless, the led is literally attached to the glass and both will have to be changed. They said it can be separated sometimes but 9 out of ten times the led gets damaged in the process. And it cost the same either way. Just saying. I mean don't get me wrong, there is a chance that it can be done but it's tedious. I would use it with the cracks so long as it still worked great. Nice auction!!

I understand exactly. That's why I didn't attempt it myself.
But I have seen it done on YouTube. There's a video there that shows you exactly how to do it and how to separate the two. I just never did it because I upgraded to the iPhone six+.

It's confusing... Was the phone ever under contract? That is one of the requerements to unlock an att phone...
Nov 25th, 2014 at 6:18:28 PM PST by
Original
Yes this phone was under contract. I purchased an iPhone 6+ and don't need this one anymore.

Thanks for the information. I will go to the iCloud website and make sure that this phone is not linked to my account still.

Also- and please don't think I'm being mean I'm not! I'm only trying to help you understand what their all asking.
When you switched THIS phones account over to your new iPhone 6, that switches the account over. However this phone IS STILL in your name. You will have to call your company- and tell them you want the phone out of your name and off of your account. It doesn't automatically get removed from your account when you switch phones or update to a new phone. You have to literately tell them/ that you no longer want the phone on your account/in your name.
Other wise the winner won't be able to activate it until you call AT&T and tell them.
Hope I helped!

iPhones are so confusing to activate and switch servers when your purchasing one used by another person prior. It used to be you bought a used phone you activated it- it was yours. Not anymore. If the phone was in your name at one point- even if shut off- stays in you name until you request it to be removed. And like I said- that iCloud lock- that's a pain! If you don't remove the iCloud lock, no one will be able to activate it.
Anyway happy thanksgiving!

Also, not all iPhones have the sim slots. My daughters doesn't. Hers is sprint. It's the 4. Some 4s do some don't.

Lol. Reading the comments made me lol.
When they are asking about password lock what they are asking is - is the ICLOUD account on the phone locked? This is not the four digit password for the lock screen and is not the AT&T lock, it is a ICLOUD lock. If you did not go to the iCloud in your settings and unlock it, and deactivate it--BEFORE you did your factory reset than the phone won't be able to be activated on anyone else's plan or name. You have to specifically unattached the iCloud (unlock) it from YOUR iCloud. It stays on even after a factory reset. It's pretty much like a back up in the phone. This all became "'New" in the last year or so- so you wouldn't have had to do it with the iPhone 3 back then.
There is a website-- for the apple iCloud, you can go on there and check to see if your phone is still Linked in your iCloud account. Ill have to find it and message u. Or anyone else know the site name? Probably can google it. It's SOOO IMPORTANT if the iCloud is still locked and linked to you- no one can activate it except you- without your apple id and password.

It used to have a four number passcode but I turned that off before I reset the phone. But I will send the code along with the phone just in case.
