I am not sure what it is made of but it is a plaster of some type.

I think instead of a priority flat rate envelope, you should try to ship it in a small flat priority rate box. I think it's only around $5.00, and then you could wrap it better so it won't break. Only a suggestion.

small flat rate boxes are 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8" that's not wide enough
