I won the chain in a lot of Sterling silver chains; however, it is not marked. It passed the magnet test. It was tarnished like silver. I cleaned it in liquid jewelry cleaner specifically for silver, and it glows.

The chain is not too dainty, is easily seen as a fine piece, and is a perfect match for the pendant size wise. The pendant is of Tibetan silver, which does NOT pass the magnet test. That's because Tibetan silver has very little real silver in its alloy; however, Tibetan silver is rugged and doesn't turn like most costume jewelry. The pendant's bail is a slider, enabling the pendant's easy removal. Wear the chain with or without it. (two separate gifts!)

I receive fine jewelry from various sources. I can't say that these pieces are new. I can say that they are in excellent condition. They are like new.
