Lol.No, not stupid at all, the controller is being recognized by the long black bar that you see in the third picture.It sits on top of your tv.It's bring recognized via infrared signal.

If you have the xbox 360 with all its cables, you don't need anything else for the controller to work, of course you need a working xbox 360 console.Lol

NO.THIS IS A REGULAR XBOX 360 WIRELESS CONTROLLER.IT NEEDS TWO AA BATTERIES TO WORK.IT HAS EVERYTHING IT NEEDS.Really now? If you don't know how this works, please don't bid.This doesn't need a dongle or any other device to connect to the xbox.Again, all you need are two aa batteries and a working xbox360.I hope this helps.

It has a button on the xbox as it has one in the middle of the controller as well.You push both and they connect, like a wireless mouse and or keyboard for your computer.

Um mam, I won't bid if you answer rudely. I use emulator to play xbox games on computer and my dongle says it connects to most wireless devices, even my wireless wii and ps4 controllers. I don't know if it connects to xbox and I know they use batteries because I have 3 and need one more. Yes, I know how they work thank you very much and I had over 35000 credits that I could have used on this but I am now pondering if I should bid or not since you so rudely answered me. That is not nice and is against the listia code. I feel offended and might not bid solely because I don't support rude people

Since you already have three of them, shouldn't you know if they work with the dongle? Oh, im not like that and party games are better with a 4th controller. Certain controller brands(especially the rip off brands) don't work with the dongle which is why I'm asking if that brand does. But I'll trust you and sorry if I got mad, I as well get mad at rude auctioneers because of their rude replies
