Hi fellow Listians! HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!

Here is a 7 day auction for a 5 x 7" art card (envelope included). It can either be used as a card or framed. This is a print (not an original)

My name is Nina Struthers and I am a Texas artist/teacher with a degree in Fine Arts.

I work with pen and ink and water color my pieces with watercolor pencils. I draw with tiny dots and slashes of ink and enjoy working in fine detail. I have been drawing for over 30 years and have a large body of work.

If you would like this drawing as a larger approx. 8 x 10" print I can post an auction for a GIN of 3500. Just let me know!

My sis and her husband used to live in Fairbanks..on 6th street in a big old Victorian house. They moved awhile back, closer to North Pole. Her hubby just quit the police force and he worked there several years on patrol. He quit to run security for some huge gold mine up there. It is such a different way of life up there! He might even know your brothers, it's such a small world. His name is Dave Duncan...she goes by Mo. My sis goes to the dump all the time. She says people throw away the nicest things....I will check out your print, also.

ask him if he knows John Hoegberg. he is a well known husky musher up there! Plus he runs "heavy horse farms" in Fairbanks... you can google him of you'd like!...Both brothers live off of Steese hwy just outside of Fbx.

My sister lives in alaska. She says they have huge ravens up there. She loves them. I was just wondering if you have any other raven art. This card is spectacular. Do you sign all of your cards/work?

THANKS & yes I sign all my work.... this is the only raven art I have... but I alos have it in color as an 8 x 9" print for 3500 GIN. I have been to Alaska many times, my brothers live in Fairbanks. There are lots of ravens at the city dump LOL... beautiful scavengers !

A lot of "rebels" live up there. Lol. Alaska living is not for the faint-hearted is it? My sis was always a rebel and darn tough too. She is 52 and tells me she went cross-country skiing yesterday..as bad as her arthritis is, she just won't give up! Lol. You can tell that I admire her grit. I've been up to visit in the summer..the last time was the "summer if bees" , I call it. Couldn't go anywhere without seeing bees all around. Yuck! Anyway, it's too darn cold for me. My sis and her hubby have a cabin in Manley..no running water..very rustic..they call it their summer home..too rustic for me! Lol

I almost moved in 2008... had a cabin design picked out and was going to live in my brothers land. then he reneged. I could only handle living there if I was near my bros. so I have stayed in Texas - I have a house and a job and that's good enough :)

I took a bunch of art to the print shop today.... including one of a chihuaua. I am going to make TONS of new cards over Christmas break (Im a teacher) Unfortunately your lady with the spinning wheel is there. (print shop) but I will get her back Monday. however I am about to post the auction for you but she is not in the photo with the other 3.

I guess things happen for a reason. I hate moving..although I did it a lot in my younger days. Moving to AK involves a lot but I bet you were disappointed at the time. I live in the Willamette Valley, here in Oregon, so the mountains around us keep the temperatures pretty mild. It's 60 degrees today and no rain! Pretty weird for December. Portland is 65 miles away and it is a lot colder up there..plus they get snow sometimes and we don't! Never been to Texas. It's on my bucket list to see the southern states some day. But I won't go in the summer!!!
