Probably shooting myself in the foot...

"Sad ipod face" - Probably means firmware needs to be reinstalled. You can do this with iTunes and ton of patience. (I've done it before.) On the downside, the hard drive is probably having issues, if the firmware went south.

any idea at all of how much storage space they have on them and do they come with the headphones at all? i'm guessing shipping to ND would probably be right around the $4 mark since thats what it was to nebraska and ND is just a few states north of there. if chargers could be found at all that'd be an awesome bonus but if not, it's still something that'd be fun to tinker with if can get them to work! :-D

i think the white actually does come on with a sad iphone face if you charge it. the black one just stopped working. i think the nanos space is 8gs and the white is like 20gs will check
