Description

The listing, Glass Bottle from Humphreys Homeopathic Veterinary Medicine circa 1880 has ended.

This is a very old glass bottle from an era long ago! Tons of history surrounds this item, including a dreamy-eyed image of a horse on the front. The lid is rusted through, but still intact, and the liquid inside had dried to form a beautiful patina. The glass itself is in perfect condition.

The lettering surrounding the image reads "Humphrey's Homeopathic Veterinary Trade Mark New York and Rio De Janeiro."

Measurements are 3.5 inches tall by 1.75 inches wide.

The company had only been around from 1854 to 1900, so at the very least, this item is over 115 years old. Questions are welcomed! Thank you very much for viewing my auction.

it is very sought bottle after because it has a horse embossed on in though . good luck . i can see by looking at the pictures it is a machine made bottle making it after 1915 also . none of that really mater because the bottle has a great horse on it. but the date of the bottle way off.

Thank you for the extra research. Since I am not able to change the subject line, I will probably end up closing this action. Unfortunately, I just don't feel comfortable with the misrepresentation, having not calculated the correct date that this was made.

you don't have to end the auction just add to it that you received new information on the year of the bottle and its not as old as you thought. i am sorry i didn't mean to make anyone life any harder was just trying to help.

The company is actually still around after a few name changes. The bottle should predate 1941, as that's before their first name change. Here's a link to a nice article on the company:
