The listing, L@@K Nice Christmas Gift! Antique/Vintage Men's 10KGold Gray Star Sapphire Ring SZ 9 has ended.
Hello,
You will be bidding on one antique men's size 9 ring
It is a 10K Gold and in the middle of the ring is a Gray/Grey Star Sapphire
The Stone is Oval Shape and when you Hold it up to the light Very pretty you can see a star in the inside of the ring as a reflection.
As you can see it does have a maker of the ring, but I can not make the name out on the ring. The maker of the ring is in two places. I tried my best to post picks of all angles. Maybe you can make out the name. I have had this ring for sometime now. It does have some light scratches on the gold from it being worn by someone. I have tried my best to add as much as I can about the item and added lots of pics!!
Little info about the stone I found for you: Sapphire is the modern September birthstone and the gem designated for the 5th, 23rd and 45th wedding anniversary; a star sapphire is typically given on the 65th wedding anniversary. Sapphire is a variety of the mineral species corundum. Sapphires occur in all colors of the rainbow with the exception of red, which is ruby. The name corundum comes from the ancient Sanskrit "kuruvindam", while the name "Sapphire" comes from the Persian word "safir", meaning "beloved of Saturn".
Sapphire is mined in Australia, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Other producers are Burma, Kampuchea, Kenya and Tanzania. Sapphires are commonly heated to improve their color and reduce cloudiness that is caused by rutile inclusions. The rutile inclusions are responsible for the "star" or "cat's eye" in star sapphires.
