thanks, i do love to crochet with the threads and yes it does take alot of time, but i have to crochet groups i belong to so its nice to sit with my friends and other crocheters and do our thing

aww thanks for the nice comment, I love to crochet, and it seems like the doilys and things is a lost art that not many do any more, so i hope to spark some interest to people to want and use them again

An heirloom indeed. I am looking to replace, well, everything after a house fire. Doilies are a must. How else can I display the beautiful vase my new neighbor gave me?

thank you, i just learned how to crochet about 3 years ago, got involved with a group of nice ladys, we are all about same age, and a lady in our group taught us all her mom taught her when she was about 7yrs old, she is amazing and came make anything, Iam so happy iam able to make doilies, i have also crochet angels for christmas tree top or table, they are stiffened to stand, I may post one of those here to see how it goes over, I just love this site but havent enough points yet, i keep getting out bid. good luck, but just for you you will win either way :)
