Fuller Brush Company's Best-Selling "Crescent" Bristlecomb Deluxe Boar-Bristle Hair Brush for Deep Brushing Action.
Model #525 (No longer sold)
For all hair types, men, women and children.
Original Fuller-design Half-Round brush with off-white plastic handle. "PURE BOAR BRISTLE" is printed in black on one side. "Regular Fuller Bristlecomb" is in raised lettering on the reverse of the handle. 8 well-spaced rows of bristles.
When they say "they don't make them like this anymore" it really applies to these!

Unsure of actual age; I tried to look online. I've narrowed it down to late 1950's to VERY early 1970's due to box art design/lettering and what I've read. If anyone knows, please do tell! I always welcome expert evaluations!
Saw a few of these sell on eBay, used with original box, for $18-$27.
All units in my possession ARE NEW, UNUSED.
8" Length of Entire Brush
4" Bristle Row Length
4" Rounded Bristle Surface
3/4" Raised Bristle Height
2 1/4" Handle Base Width
Comfortable early-ergonomic style, easy to grasp, even with arthritis or carpal tunnel, etc.
Very lightweight yet sturdy!

Boar bristle brushes spread natural hair oils evenly through hair from follicles to tips. This increases hair's moisture-level and softness, reducing split ends and brittle hairs. Also prevents oily buildup on follicles at the scalp level.
*******Adds volume and body to hair. Aids in curling hair, especially curling ends under.

****This is an antique/vintage item, despite its brand new condition. Purchased them from an estate sale of a former Fuller saleswoman. The white surfaces on the boxes are a bit faded from time, but as these were stored well, there is not even much dulling to the box corners, if any at all.
Made in U.S.A.

I have been searching for a boar bristle brush! My hair falls out due to an auto-immune condition and it is recommended to use these to stimulate the scalp and distribute the oils, the fact that it is New Old Stock makes it even more desirable for me! Coming to get it, girl, get ready! :))) (oh, ya, fanned you, too, of course!). :)

Hey Mama B., try Catalase enzyme too. In addition to restoring color to follicles, it strengthens and deoxidizez them. pm me and I will tell u all about it. Its all natural too no side effects homeopathic :-)

I believe this is before the 70's as they started coming out with a different box when I was selling and then started making them with wooden handles instead of the bakelite.

I would love one as I have very thick hair and those brushes don't tangle it.
