This set is old & I dont know if it's silver...I got it from an Indian reservation years ago.Out of all my jewelry...my friends always wanted to borrow this set.
approx size pls?? very beautiful, if you bought it from a res, then they are probably made from Mexican silver, good silver, and durable, just not worth anything if your trying to cash in on silver...... I personally like the old Mexican silver, most of the new stuff gets a coating of something to keep the sterling from scratches, and I like the old worn look .......... fanned and watching
I am not questioning whether or not they are sterling, just wanted to know if there was any markings on them because alot of times the craftsman will mark their pieces signifying they made them, sorry, meant no offense to anyone.
True, vansmith_1..... alot of the old jewelry made by native americans were marked with a symbol, or sometimes name, or just an initial. I love native jewelry, and being part cherokee, love the history that comes with such pieces. and LOL no offense here, hope not on your end either. Good luck everyone on the auction/ I wont be around when it gets to the final, Have classes. ........... but will have my bid in before I leave........... :)~
