Description
The listing, Fish & Marine Reptile Fossil Collection: 45 to 150 Million Years Old has ended.
This collection of fossils makes a great decor piece for a mantel, etc. or a great gift for anyone interested in science, etc. Housed in a wooden display box with glass front, has 18 different types of marine fossils displayed on a black background, most of the types of fossils have multiple specimens. The fossils are identified on the background by their scientific names, but on the back of the display box is a key with both the scientific name and a layman's explanation of what the fossil is. Included in this set are fossils such as:
-Sting Ray Plate (Teeth)
-Sea Snake Vertebrae
-Marine Lizard Tooth
-Cow Shark Teeth
-Sand Tiger Shark Teeth
-Mackerel Shark Teeth
-Tiger Shark Teeth
-Humped Wrasse
-Giant Mackerel Shark
-Fossil Shark Vertebrae
-Torpedo Ray Tooth
and many others.
Fossils range in age from 45-150 million years old.
Display box measures 11.5" x 7.5" x 1.5". $50 retail value
The sign inside the box says genuine fossils and they were sold to me as such. I am not an expert so I only know the product description. The largest tooth is the one in dead center called Otodus Obliquus and is 1 1/2" tall. It is a nice set regardless. Bid on it as though they are replicas and then you won't be disappointed. I did pay good money for the set myself.
I have been looking for something like this my brother studies fossils and loves pretending he is an archaeologist I am watching This will be great for his collection
