The averrage windows 7 home user uses 28-32gb of space, we upgraded this unit from a 30gb to ensure happy customers. We believe in giving customers what we reasonably expect they'll use, and not charge more for crap they're never going to use. All you have to do is input the service tag number from the bottom of the laptop on the Dell website and it will show you all of the stock info for the laptop, including the year and all specs. Here is the exact link to go to to do it.... http://dell.to/1usRqX7

however, as mentioned before, these are refurbished units, with many parts having been replaced during dis-assembly last month.

I don't know what year, like I said before, they made the inspiron 6000 for several years, I don't have time to dig through the dell website, but I think it was 2003-2007 they made them.

Nothing suspicious here, I did include the model number (Inspiron 6000) this model can be searched on dell.com for production years:)
The memory and hdd upgrade were done last month as well as a complete overhaul including dissassembly and cleaning of fan & heatsink to ensure many more years of stable use
