Questions & Comments
yeah my bad what u have is pool of radiance 2 the first one came out in 1988 and had the code wheel i did find the wheel online so even if this does require it it can still b used wnd the wheel i found online is just like the real one u roatate the larger disc to allign the symbols and input the letters it shows heres the address for the online code wheel just in case http://www.oldgames.sk/docs/codewheel/pool-of-radiance/ but great auction great game brings back alot of memories
Am out of town and can't get to disc to take pictures. Sorry! I've never sold them before and it didn't occur to me when I was taking the pictures. If I continue to sell this type of thing I will be sure to do that next time.
in the origional release of pool of radiance there was a code wheel u had to line up the symbols to spell a word u couldnt start the game without it and to answer the other guys qquestion if it will play in xp it will play in 7 just have to use the run in xp mode setting but yeah the origional release of pool of radiance was useless without the code wheel bc the game wouldnt launch unless u put in the word by matching the symbols on the wheel kinda like starwars ie fighter had u turn to a certain page in the booklet and pu in a random word from a random page im sure if the code wheel is needed u can find it online i remember my dad lost ours so he printed one ouyt and cut it out where it was needed but the one that came with it was cardboard and when u started the game the symbols would come up and ud have to line up the symbols on the screen on the code wheel and type in the letters it was prolly done that way to prevent ppl from using illegal copies mind u this was over 20 yrs ago lol
im talking back in the days of the origional mech warrior and 386 bcomputers lol i remember my dad wouldnt even let me play pool of radiance but id sit and watch him for hrs great listing classic game old school d&d
no the code wheel came separate in the box but like i said odds r it can be found fairly easily online and that may even be a sequel or a rerelease that doesnt require the code wheel either way great listing
I don't remember anything about a code wheel. I think something that important to the game back then I would remember needing it to play. No this never had one. I am released. I am going to hide this conversation so it won't confuse the other bidders. Thanks for the info. Though. I'm always glad to hear from you and get info on things I have up for auction.
