Created by Sam Kieth. The comic book spawned an animated series that aired on MTV. The series follows the adventures of Maxx in the real world and in an alternate reality, referred to as The Outback. In the real world the Maxx is a vagrant while in the Outback he is the protector of the Jungle Queen.

Maxx, script bby Sam Kieth (plot) and William Messner-Loebs (script), pencils by Sam Kieth, inks by Sam Kieth and Jim Sinclair (finishes); Social worker Julie goes above and beyond the call of duty when she bails the Maxx out of jail yet again.
