This red candle warmer is a little darker than it shows in the picture, but that is usually how it goes with pictures. You put a candle on it, and it melts the wax, making your home smell terrific!! Does it have an auto turn off after a certain number of hours or anything?

No; if you look at the third picture, it shows the type of on/off switch that it has. There is a little round red light on the front that lights up when it is turned on. It is hard to see but is shown in the first picture.
