you cant stop playing one day and play again the next because the data naturuly resets itself and youll have to leave it on to continue playing but try to beat it under 2 hours and try to find all the item upgrades to get the best picture on the game if you dont beat it in 2 hours youll get the 2 best picture if you dont beat it in 3 hours youll get the worst picture in the game.For gameboy can go in bottom slot on ds.

The battery in the cartridge is dead, that's why you can't save.

I meant the battery in the cartridge, not the DS. That's why you lose your saves...right?

no you can save it just atomaticly resets cause i played it in my ds fully charged and saved turned of came back tommorow and data was gone

Weeeooojr is exactly correct, GBA games with save features have an internal button cell battery, you can change it yourself...if you have the special tri-wrench, which is kind of hard to come by, that's why it doesn't save.
