This 1911 publication of The Life of Robert Louis Stevenson is written at the request of Mrs Robert Louis Stevenson by Robert's cousin Graham Balfour. Published in 1911, it's copywrited in 1901 as can be seen in the pictures. The red cover in embellished with gold edging and lettering. The top of the pages still have the original gold coloring. The inside of the book is in excellent condition. No loose binding. Includes the original map. As can be seen by the pictures, the spine and the edges of the pages do show wear but are still in acceptable condition. You can see that the pages were originally like parchment and frayed. The wear its the darker color. The last picture shows an undamaged page. Published in New York by Charles Scribner's Sons in 1900.
