It is brand new never worn perfect for nose or tragus piercings

*semi-captive is the bead is attached on one side so the bead cannot fall out. Most gold body jewelry is semi-captive due to the softness of gold it helps to prevent loss

Before bidding know that 5/16 is a small ring and will not fit larger pierced areas

it is made to where the bead isone piece with the ring one side is detached to where you can pull it open and put it in then bend it back together usually it is done with ring openers and closers but can be done by hand this makes it a semi-captive whereas in a captive the bead comes off completely and is wedged back into place do to the softness of gold most if not all are semi

gold not sure of karat though its not marked on package but you can see in person its not like a gold colored titanium its gold
