sure when you send me a list of names of all the tons of collectors whom are curious to know so much about this doll as you are. your a collected of 20 yet I had her 36 years now and others 70's and 80's items. items of different years. I am not claiming i'm a collector I just have collectables that's all to it. I've collected many different things some where past down no link no collectors opinions just the story behind how I come to have that said item and nothing more. now i'm curious as to why a collector has nothing more to do then worry about a 1950/60's grandma edition raggedy ann doll.

I know that knickerbocker raggedy ann dolls have a love you heart in the front left hand side of the chest what i should have said is that it is a grandma edition raggedy ann doll which later knickerbocker made there own raggedy ann so theres no confusion this is a 1950/60 grandma edition raggedy ann doll.

is crazy when a person makes a whole new profile to continue to harass some1 in there auction when the knickerbocker name was already agreed and cleared in my update. collectors more like maniacs. what kind of sicko does that they clearly have way to much time to themselves and no life to be so concerned about what's going on in someone else auction they have no intention of bidding on concerned for the bidders sure whatever helps them sleep at night. she deal only in raggedy ann doll auction and want a monopoly I guess seeing as how this doll is rarer my real bidders have any concern or question they are more then welcome to ask I never claime it's knickerbocker and when I seen I word the auction wrong I corrected it why the need to go on and on that spell insanity to me

Ok i have been collecting for over 20yrs and Penni is correct this doll is homemade. The tag is not the only problem with dating this doll. She has homemade embroidery face which Knickerbocker dolls did not have till Applause made them and her hair is way to thin and long with not top knot to say she is a girl.

clearly pennijburns being another seller auction off raggedy ann doll has no clue to what she talking about I am not claiming this is a knickerbocker doll knickerbocker as she stated and the 1 true thing she said didn't start making these till the mid 60's my doll is an original raggedy ann doll that knickerbocker mass produced from the grandma dolls to say it is a knickerbocker is to lessen it's value clearly she knows that and seeing as how hers are the reproduction of the grandma dolls just upset her to the bone not my problem to deal with so she's blocked and reported to listia for harrassment

I haven't been collecting 20 years but some of my friends have. As a collector I like to look around at raggedies and when someone claims something that isn't true I more then likely will say something. I don't want someone to win something and it not be what they bargained for in the end. I'm not giving you my friends names that's ridiculous. I just asked for where you found this doll as a knicker and asked you to prove it to me and you can't because you know you cant. This doll was passed down to you that's awesome I'm just telling you that it's a handmade doll not a Knicker and you got certainly defensive. Because you know it's a handmade that your fraudently posing as a knicker.

Wow you got real defensive. I wasn't attacking you. Just telling your dolls are home made not knickerbocker. I know what dolls knicker made. I just collect Raggedies. But before we get into a p*sing match just letting you know your doll is home made and not by knicker it was made by some grandma for their grandchild just as the tag states. There is no made by grandma dolls, you make. The dolls buy the labels attach them to the dolls and give them as a gift. Maybe you shouldn't attack people who you don't know and realize they know what they r talking about as they r a collector and know their dolls especially raggedies. There is a huge difference between a home made and original raggedy it's obvious.

To correct myself Raggedy Ann is a hand made doll by grandma is the label/logo Knickerbocker Toy Co. made it as well as the Annie dolls, Holly Hobbies, Snoopy & Belle, Huckleberry Hound. Bozo the Clown, Casey Jones the dog, Mickey Mouse, Smokey Bear The Berenstain Bears, Ms. Pac Man, Woodsey Owl, Yogi Bear, Snuffalufagus, The Flintstones, The Jetsons and many more along with Hannah Barbaera Toys.(((( A REAL COLLECTOR WOULD KNOW THIS.))))*****not to name names****** PENNIJBURNS. Suppose I got the lables for the 2 others dolls I have listed (((The Flintstones Barney and The Jetsons doll George))). Which are also made by Knickerbocker and Hannah Barbaera toys.

No one is attacking you and I don't think your lieing or misleading anyone. I am just trying to inform you of the correct information. Only grandma kickerbocker made was for Holly Hobbie. Dolls were made and these tags were put on them. You can buy these tags and have been able to for years. I searched and I asked collectors and distributors. This is a handmade doll. Knickerbocker would have a knickerbocker tag on the doll also. There isn't one. Knickerbocker didn't start making Raggedies until 1963. Google specially made by grandma sewing tags and you will see the exact one on images. I ran a raggedy site for awhile and have collected for years. I also know others who collect, Charles who runs raggedy land and Bonnie who runs a raggedy store. I know my dolls. Your doll is homemade and whoever made it added a tag to it. No big deal like I said before you got defensive thinking I was saying you was lieing or misleading good luck with your auction. I just wanted to let you know your doll is not a knicker, not manufactured but homemade by someone with love. Which makes her even more special.

yes that is true knickerbocker would have its own label on the doll that is true and also the reason why I listed it as a grandma edition and no it doesn't have a knickerbocker label on it cause they didn't start adding the label until as you started correctly the early 60's not being defensive just clearing the fact that that's how I know its late 50's early 60's

You can buy those labels and add them to homemade dolls. I have value books and can't find a grandma doll even looked online. Oh well. Good luck.

maybe so now where would I have gotten the label is it the same site where you couldn't find the doll. then I should be making dolls don't you think. you don't look up grandma its made by knickerbocker grandma is the label like Hasbro has mattel you just have researched correctly I have no reason to lie or mislead it is what it is. but thanks for the input incorrect but thanks
