1964 is the only kennedy half that is 90 percent...65 to 69 is only 40 percent and i think 1970 maybe but no this coin is only 40 percent my gramps had a coin shop for 45 yrs before he passed and i was always sorting the coins so no this is only 40 trust me as if it is listed and someone bids and they have it checked they can file a claim on this auction for false info on the coin and alot will but most should know this is a 40 percent coin on the silver only the 64 has 90 percent now they do have new coins that are 90 they have on collector sets and other sets from the mint but these where never produced in 90 only 40 trust...still a good coin so please dont take this the wrong way and it is still a nice coin and does have silver just not 90 and i would take my coins to a differant dealer to have them checked as the one you went to gave you the wrong info on this coin....merry christmas to all listians

Yes.This coin is only 40% silver.The 1965-1970 JFK half dollars were made in 40% silver.Only the 1964 JFK half dollar was made in 90% silver.Do your own research.
